Some 159 people were on board the luxury liner Rhapsody of the Seas which left Haifa and sailed into Limassol port in Cyprus early Tuesday. Cypriot government official Victor Papadopoulos told Cyprus state TV more evacuation vessels were expected to arrive over the next 12 hours. Cyprus has been used as a transit hub for foreign governments to evacuate their civilians since just after the latest outbreak of violence on Oct. 7.

There is no public record of a conviction or a sentence in Lazar's court docket. Lazar was sentenced in Washington’s federal court on March 17 to 30 months in prison, according to the Bureau of Prisons, but there’s no public record of such a hearing. Questions about Lazar’s case have been swirling for months, but the details of his conviction and sentence have not been previously reported. The judge overseeing Lazar’s case in May rejected a request from media outlets — including the AP — to release any sealed records that may exist.

The hedge fund's founder, Alex Denner, 53, one of three Sarissa candidates running for seats on Alkermes' 11-member board, on Monday said he would give up his board seat at biotech company Biogen (BIIB.O). The move eliminates "any claim of conflict whatsoever," Sarissa wrote to Alkermes shareholders on Tuesday. Alkermes shareholders will vote on directors on June 29 in what is one of the year's five biggest boardroom challenges. A Biogen representative confirmed that the board knew about the relationship between Denner and Langer. Denner, who has served on the Biogen board since 2009 and headed the nominating and governance committee, had nominated Langer.

ATHENS, Nov 11 (Reuters) - U.S. bank JPMorgan (JPM.N) said on Friday it will open a new office in Athens to support the growth of its business in the country. The office will house a new Payments Innovation Lab for which the firm will hire around a 50-strong payments research and development team locally - including product and engineering specialists. The Payments Innovation Lab will provide research and development to the bank's global payments business, including working with Onyx, JP Morgan's business unit that leverages cutting-edge technologies like blockchain. "We want to stay at the apex of payments innovation, and our new location in Athens will be a key nerve centre for our cutting edge payments innovation work," said Takis Georgakopoulos, Global Head of JPMorgan Payments. Recruitment for the Payments Innovation Lab will begin immediately, including for a head of the division.
